Our 23-year community story
More than a store. Part of the neighborhood.
Platinum Wireless opened at 5901 Mission Street on October 25, 2003. What grew here was bigger than electronics: it became a place where people worked, learned, celebrated, and stayed connected.

A place where people grew
The people are the real history.
Family members, brothers, cousins, friends, and neighbors have all worked here over the years—many while attending high school or college.
Some later opened businesses of their own. Others moved into professional careers. The store remains part of where those journeys began.
The store gave people a place to start—and gave the neighborhood familiar faces to come back to.
Twenty-three years of memories
So much life happened around this storefront.
Some memories happened behind the counter. Others happened on the sidewalk. Together, they made Platinum Wireless part of more than one generation’s San Francisco story.
Moving forward
Many people who spent time here later built professional careers or businesses of their own. We are proud that the store was part of their beginning.

Barbecues brought customers, neighbors, relatives, and friends together. The storefront became a place to eat, talk, laugh, and reconnect.

49ers, Giants, and Warriors seasons brought city pride past our door. We celebrated the wins and shared that energy with the neighborhood.
Customers became familiar faces
We ate together. We cheered together.
We shared sidewalk barbecues with customers, neighbors, families, and friends. People came by for food, conversation, and the comfort of seeing familiar faces.
We watched San Francisco pride fill Mission Street during 49ers, Giants, and Warriors seasons. We celebrated the wins and sold plenty of local team gear along the way.
